Harlon “Baby” Page Evans

Harlon “Baby” Evans, age 83 of Rehobeth died peacefully at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Celebration of Life services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, August 15, 2018 in the Pilgrim Home Baptist Church located at 13534 West US-84, Newton, AL 36352 with the Rev. Buddy Hand and Rev. Scott Cox officiating and Family First Funeral Care directing.  The family will receive friends in the church sanctuary from 1:00 P.M. until service time.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that contributions be made to the Wiregrass Humane Society, 255 Jerry Dr., Dothan, Al 36303.

Mr. Evans was born in Hartford, Al son of the late Will Evans and Minnie Crosby Evans.  He retired from Monsanto Chemical Company in Indian Orchard, MA and then returned to his native Alabama where he ran a successful retail car business.  Harlon was also preceded in death by 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Margaret Evans of Rehobeth, 3 daughters Janice Dominello, Deanna Jones of Crawfordville, Fl and Melinda Norbeheset of Marietta, Ga granddaughters Dominello, Kassie Jones, Jessie Drake and grandson Joel Drake, a very special nephew Justin Peterson and several other nieces and nephews also survive.

The family wishes to express their thanks the Kindred Hospice and all the wonderful nurses, especially Susan Jernigan.
