Jean Luella Ryan, age 93 beloved mother and grandmother died early Wednesday morning January 2, 2019 at her residence in Dothan.

In keeping with Jean’s wish, a simple cremation is being orchestrated by Family First Funeral & Cremation Care.

Jean was born in Grants Pass, OR daughter of the late Benjamin Moffit and Olive Kelso Moffit.  She had lived in Grants Pass most of her lifetime prior to moving to Dothan in 2014.  Jean had worked in health care her entire career and was of the Baptist Faith.  She enjoyed painting, reading, and baking.  Other than her parents she was preceded in death by a son Clifford Ryan a grandson Jason Ryan, a granddaughter Christy Prins, brothers Clifford & Roy Moffit, sisters Vera Miller and Lois Priddle.

Survivors include 2 sons George (Danna) Ryan of Dothan, Richard (Paula) Ryan of Slocomb, 4 grandchildren Michelle (David) VerMeer of Grants Pass, OR, Jordan (Melody) Ryan of Jacksonville, FL, Emily Ryan of Slocomb, Jen’ni Ryan of Dothan, 7 great grandchildren Greg, Emily, Becky, Jennifer VerMeer, Megan (Alex) Thill of Grants Pass, Loren Weaver of Jacksonville, FL, Brittany Ryan of Dothan and 4 great-great grandchildren.
