Joseph Pedigo Obituary

On Sunday, June 30, 2019, Joseph “Joe” Henry Pedigo, Jr., loving husband and father of five children, passed away at the age of 84.

Joe was born on March 2, 1935 in Chicago, IL to Joseph Henry Pedigo, Sr. and Violet Viola (Chambers) Pedigo.

Joe married Peggy Jean Springer of Danville, IL, March 30, 1968. They had a daughter Gail (Albert) Sheets. On March 15, 1958 he married Mary Elizabeth Buzek. They had two sons, Joseph (Deborah) Henry Pedigo III and Jeffery (Sandra) Paul Pedigo; and two daughters, Penny (Daniel) Wilson and Tracey (Timothy) Irwin.

He was a Handyman and Carpenter, Fuller Brush Salesman, Volunteer Firefighter, Grave Digger, and Mover. Joe was a quiet, simple man. Joe loved horses and fishing. He spent a lot of time gardening. He also loved to bargain and solve his Rubik’s Cube. He had a unique and loveable sense of humor.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Pedigo; his mother, Violet Pedigo; his brothers James Pedigo, Harold Pedigo, and David Pedigo; his sister Charlotte Roulo, and his wife Peggy Pedigo. He is survived by his brothers Richard (Marilyn) Pedigo and William (Vickie) Pedigo, his children, Joseph Pedigo, Jeffery Pedigo, Penny Wilson, Tracey Irwin, Gail (Albert) Sheets; three stepchildren Cheryl (Emery) Garwick, Candace Redcliff, Daniel (Mary Ann) Gilman; and grandchildren Shawn (Mandeleine) Pedigo, Michael Pedigo, Asia (Shannon) Skains, Eric (Andrea) Starlin, Andrew (Elizabeth) Starlin, Zandra Starlin, Matt Gilman, Jessica Gilman, Amy Gilman, Brenda Douglas, Megan (Kris) Lair, Rhianna (Rene) Holguin, Miranda Pedigo, Stormy Pedigo, Kelsey Pedigo, Sebrina Snoots, Kricy Snoots, Sammy Snoots, Brent Greaves, Ryan (Heather) Ballinger, Kara (Patrick) Matthews, Nicholas (Emily) Moore, Benjamin Sheets, Robert (Valerie) Mazany, Matthew Eddy, Zachary Redcliff, Brandon Redcliff; and Great-Grandchildren Ivy Pedigo, Ayden Skains, Ariel Skains, Kehli Starlin, Andrew Starlin, Lane Starlin, Jack Starlin, Damien Martinez, Jace Baldock, Jameson Baldock, William Lair, Apollo Lair, Kaitlyn Lair, Madison, Kaiden Lair, and Gabriel Holgiun, Emma Matthews, Zoey Matthews, Rylee Ballinger, Travis Snoots, Ryan Eddy, Regan Eddy, Abigail Eddy, Rhys Eddy, Rebekah Mazany, Brittany Mazany, Derek Mazany, Meagen Mazany.
