Joyce Ann Jones

Joyce Ann Jones, age 76 of Dothan died Tuesday morning October 30, 2018 at Westside Terrace surrounded by her family. Celebration of Life services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday November 3, 2018 in the Chapel of Angels at Family First Funeral & Cremation Care with Bishop Harry Smith, Pastor Charlie Smith and Pastor Christopher Scott officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. Saturday until service time in the Chapel. Miss Joyce was born in Houston County daughter of the late Jimmy Lee Jones and Rosie B. Slater Jones. Joyce was educated at Spann School in the Bay Springs area. In her early years she attended Sardis Baptist Church and later attended Emmanuel Temple Church. Joyce was a member of the Red Hatter’s Club at Westside Terrace and loved to play Bingo with her eye partner Mrs. Joanna Barnes. Other than her parents Joyce was preceded in death by her sister Lillie B. Stephens, her brothers Cecil Jones, Jimmy Lee Jones Jr., William Jones, Chester Jones and a grandson Zachariah (Zack) Jones. Joyce thoughts and memories will always be remembered by her daughters Mrs. Jannie and Raymond Daniels, Jennie and Charles Lee, Mrs. Ruby and Ross Marshall, Mrs. Blondell Woodrow (Tim) McClendon and a daughter by love Stephanie and James Warner, a sister Sarah Nell Perkins, a brother Forest Jones, a niece like daughter Mrs. Carolyn and Eddie Smith, grandchildren Christopher Grubbs, Regina Lee, Eric Jones, Janae Jones, Brittney Lee, Angelica Lowe, Ross, Marcus and Willie Jones, Joshua Mann, Tamara Sankey and Demetrice Harris. She leaves to cherish wonderful memories by 11 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Words cannot express our appreciation and gratitude for the nurses and CAN’s at Westside Terrace Healthcare. We thank you for 12 years of wonderful service the staff provided. Our mother did not look at the facility as a nursing home, she viewed it as her loving home. Your professionalism and loving care made our mother fee safe and cared for.
