At a very early age, she moved to Richmond, VA and as a teenager moved to Alabama where she remained until 2017, moving to Cumming, GA with Amy Blanton, her granddaughter, who helped care for her.

Mrs. Cannon accepted Christ at a very early age and lived for the Lord until her last breath. She was a Mother figure to everyone who knew her.She loved everyone unconditionally and encouraged those she met. Through her church, Behold the Lamb of God Ministries, she helped facilitate many Bible studies, home services and Women’s Ministry, teaching what it meant to be a Proverbs 31 woman. Many scriptures in the Bible fit the life that Ruth Cannon lived, but she would be best fulfilled by the verse found in 2 Timothy 4: 7-8 “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing”.
