Ruth H (Reese) Johnson

Ruth H. Johnson, age 73 of Dothan died Monday, February 11, 2019 in a Montgomery hospital following an extended illness.

Homegoing services for Mr. Johnson will be held at 12 noon on Monday, February 18, 2019 at First Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Albert Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Gates of Heaven Cemetery with Family First Funeral & Cremation Care directing. 

Ms. Ruth H. Johnson was born June 16, 1945 the third of ten children to the late T.C. and Chanie Mae Bryant Reese.  She lived in the Wiregrass area all of her life.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Byron Johnson, one granddaughter, Chanyia Reese, one great granddaughter Aamaiyah Reese, one set of twin angel grandbabies, three brothers Billy Reese, Sr, William Reese Sr and L.C. Reese, one sister Bessie Reese and one niece Lola May.

Left to cherish her memories are five daughters, Teresa Reese, Pamela Galloway (Darryl), LaKeisha Johnson, Marian Johnson (James) and Yolonda Johnson (Brandon) all of Dothan, AL.  Four sons, Tim Reese (Sheron) of North Carolina, Shane Reese of Atlanta, GA, Thomas Johnson (Regina) of Alabaster, AL, and Erick Johnson (Deonica) of Birmingham, AL.  Four bonus children, Brannon Woodall, Elizabeth Woodall and Robert Woodall all three Dothan and Jamie Woodall of Mobile, AL, 44 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and one sister Jestean Reese (Robert) Of Dothan, AL, four brothers Daniel Reese, Sr (Bernice) of Wicksburg, AL, Earnest Reese (Melonie) of Donaldsonville, GA, Joe Reese (Wanda) of Dothan, AL and Vincent Reese of Smyrna, GA.  Also left to cherish her memories is a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.  

The family of the late Ruth Johnson would like to thank everyone for your many thoughts, prayers and acts of kindness during our time of bereavement.
