Alana Katrine “Mookie” Moore

Alana Katrine "Mookie" Moore was born to Edward and the late Rose A. Moore on July 12, 1970 in Union, New Jersey. 

Alana transitioned to a higher realm unexpectedly on March 24, 2020 at the age of 49. Most of her younger years were spent in Newark, New Jersey where she attended Newark Public Schools. She then relocated to Elizabeth, NJ, where she attended Thomas Jefferson High School. She enjoyed cooking and was a devout Muslim. 

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Pearl Moore and Nancy L. Mason; her mother, Rose A. Moore; and two sisters, Lorraine D. and Samantha J. Moore.

Left to cherish her memories are her father, Edward Moore of Dothan; two sons, Sayyid and Ephan Moore of Dothan; a daughter Eydie  Faniyi of Rochester,  MN; three sisters Gwendolyn Moore of Bristol, TN, Jacqueline Baig of Dothan, and Pearl Moore of Elizabeth, NJ; two brothers, James (Barbara) Moore of Irvington, NJ,  Jerome (Rochelle) Brown of Rockford, IL; a special niece Simone (James) Merrill  of Eufaula; two uncles Alan Hughes of Dothan and William (Brenda) Mason of Neptune, NJ. She also leaves behind a tremendous host of other family and friends.
