Angerome Whaley

Angerome Whaley a resident of Dothan, Alabama passed away Friday, December 2, 2021, at Flowers Hospital. She was 86.

        Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 @ 11:00 a.m. at Church of God by Faith with Pastor Styles officiating. Visitation will be Friday, December 10, 2021, at Family First Funeral Care Chapel from 5-7p.m.

        Angerome Whaley was bon on April 17, 1935, to the late John and Emma Anglin. Angerome received Christ at an early age. She was a faithful member of Church of God By Faith.

        While attending her home church, she took on the name  “Mother Whaley.”  Angerome retired from Southeast Alabama Medical Center dedicating 16 years of service. She enjoyed cooking, singing, and praise and worship. Mother Whaley was loved by many and will be missed.

        Mother Whaley was preceded in death by her father; John Anglin, Mother; Emma Anglin, 2 sons: Mark and Tony Whaley; 1 daughter; Arnetta Reeves.

        To cherish her memories, she is survived by her children: Willie Whaley (Abbeville, AL) Sherry Whaley, Linda Turner, Darlene Trawick (Edward), Winfred Whaley, Marcia Johnson, and Rosalyn Whaley, all of Dothan, AL. Her sisters: Betty Brooks (New York), Louise Rivers, ElNora Barkley, Nobel Jean Kelley (New York), Ophelia McMiller; one brother: Lamar Anglin (Texas); 22 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends throughout the community.
