Billy Nelson

Billy Nelson, age 57 of Cottonwood, died Saturday, December 5,
2020, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
At his request, and the families, Family First Funeral Care will be
providing a Simple Cremation service. A memorial service will be
held by the family at a later time.
Billy was born in Houston County on June 7, 1963 to the late James
Edward and Sarah Nell Davis Nelson. He lived in the Wiregrass
area all his life and was employed in commercial construction for
many years. Billy was also of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, Billy is preceded in death by two
brothers. Survivors include a son Jesse (Lauren) Nelson of
Cottonwood; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Robert Cole of
Cottonwood; four brothers and a sister-in-law, J.W. (Janice) Nelson
of Haleburg, Eugene Nelson of Defuniak Springs, FL, Bobby
(Laura) Nelson of Gordon and Charles Nelson of Decatur. Billy is
also survived by a granddaughter, Sawyer Nelson, as well as
numerous nieces and nephews.
