Billy Joe Sale, Jr.

Billy Joe Sale, Jr., age 74 of Dothan, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at his residence.

Graveside services will be held for Billy at 10:30am (EST) at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, in Seale, with Chaplain John Gormley officiating. Military honors will be displayed at the cemetery. Additional information may be obtained at www.familyfirstfuneralcare.com.

Billy Joe was born April 7, 1947 in Clarkton, Missouri. Upon graduation from high school, he joined the United States Air Force and very honorably and very proudly served his country. Upon receiving an Honorable discharge, Billy Joe became a masterful salesperson. If it could be sold, Billy Joe could sale it! His last name was taken to heart when it came to his career choice! Through the years he worked for Amway, Knapp Shoes, Shaklee Vitamins, Excel, at an automobile dealership (or two) and eventually sold life insurance.

Billy Joe is preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Sale, Sr.; a brother, Terry Lee Sale; and a stepsister, Sandy Smith. Survivors include his daughters and their children, Tina Davis of Enterprise and her children, Andrew Harrison of Memphis, TN and Caitlyn Smith of Dothan, along with a grandson, Dawson Smith of Dothan; Tonia Amaya of Hartford and her children, Aaron Amaya, II of Enterprise and Gabriel Amaya of Hartford; Leslie Baker of Dothan and her children, Preston Baker, Elijah Baker and Stella Kate Baker, all of Dothan; his mother and stepfather, Gladys Mae Morris and her husband, William R. Morris of Flint, MI; his step-mother, Peggy Sale of Wicksburg; five sisters, Lauran Elaine Henderson of Clio, MI, Brenda Ann Taylor of Davison, MI, Joanne Foster of Starkville, MS, Susanna Sale of Starkville, MS and Robin Enfinger of Dothan. Billy Joe is also survived by a brother, Michael Lynn Sale of Atmore and a stepbrother, William R. Morris of Harbor Springs, MI.
