Calvin Bernard Porter

Calvin Bernard Porter was born on July 30, 1973 to Rosa and Willie Edward Porter.  He departed this earthly life on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at a local hospital. 

A homegoing service will be held Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 1pm in the chapel of Family First Funeral Care.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, June 14, 2021 from 5-7.

Calvin was a resident of Dothan.  He spent most of his life as a barber.  He enjoyed hanging with his family and friends and helping others.  Calvin was a great father and devoted grandfather.  Calvin was loved and will be missed by many.

Calvin is preceded in death by his mother Rosa Porter Walden, brother James Porter, and God-brother Derrick Thompson.  To cherish his memories, he is survived by his wife Tracy Porter; children Jessica Porter, Jasmine Porter, Cearra Whaley, Selena Harris, Natarsha Harris, Darius Whaley, Sarijah Porter, John Porter; step children Josh Griffin, Desmond Griffin, James Bigham; brothers Rubin Kyles Jr (Cefiee), Cliff Porter (LeJessica) and William Porter; sister Brenda Grimsley; numerous grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and a special friend Sharhonda Smalls.
