Charles R. “Chuck” Buchholz

Chuck Buchholz, age 69 a resident of the Riverview Forest Estates Community on Lake Eufaula near Abbeville died Thursday afternoon May 9, 2019 at his home.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 P.M. CDT Friday May 17, 2019 at Beverly Cemetery located in Blue Island, IL., with Family First Funeral & Cremation Care directing.

Mr. Buchholz was born in Chicago, IL, son of the late Charles F. Buchholz and LaVerne Uminger Buchholz. He lived in Chicago until junior high and then his family moved to Morton Grove, IL (a Chicago suburb) where he eventually graduated high school and went to Western Illinois University where he graduated in 1971. He lived in a few other Chicago suburbs before moving down to Eufaula, Alabama to work with Cooper Lighting as Quality Control Manager.

Survivors include his daughter Kelly Buchholz of Arlington Heights, IL., his brother Robert C. (Bob) Buchholz of Indianapolis, IN., and several cousins.

Care for the Buchholz family is being provided by Randy Crenshaw, Jason Shepard and the Family First Staff.
