Danny Edward Steenberg

Danny Steenberg age 70 of Cottonwood, passed away Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Southeast Health.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, March 23, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Selma Baptist Church with Pastor Travis Free officiating.  

Danny was born January 13, 1954 in Massena, New York to Arthur Steenberg and Barbara Collins Steenberg.  He made his career as a dairy farmer.  In his spare time, he enjoyed antiquing with his wife, watching Alabama football, fishing and watching Western shows.  He treasured spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  He loved to joke around.  

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife of 36 years Mary Hebert Steenberg; sons Michael Steenberg, Jason Steenberg, Jeremiah Steenberg, Donald Lavallee; daughters Tammie Steenberg, Angela Deragon, Kellie Forrest (Jerry); several grandchildren and great grandchildren; brother Wayne Steenberg, sisters Kathy Gardner, Connie Powers (Don), Marlene Steenberg; beloved fur babies Gabby and Weiner.  

Flowers will be accepted at Selma Baptist Church (3255 S Park Ave. Dothan, AL 36301) the day of service.  Burial in Massena, New York will be announced at a later date.
