Elizabeth  Walker  James

 

Elizabeth James (Beth), age 60 of Cottonwood, passed away early Saturday morning, March 14, 2020, at the home of her daughter, surrounded by her mother and loving family and under the care of Dayspring Hospice.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4:30pm with visitation from 4-4:30pm on Thursday, March 19, 2020 in the chapel of Family First Funeral Care with Ricky Webb officiating. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 6pm on Wednesday evening, March 18, 2020 at the funeral home.

Born September 7, 1959 in Houston County, Alabama to Celia Walker and the late Robert LeMay. Beth grew up as a military dependent to Julian Walker in several places to include Illinois, Texas, Virginia, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and her favorite England. Beth later returned and settled down in Dothan, Alabama and worked for Spectra Care for several years till she was unable to work. She was very loving and caring. She had a heart of gold and accepted everyone as part of her family.

Beth was preceded in death by her Father Robert Youry LeMay, Father Julian Charbonnier Walker, Grand-daughter Nevaeh Grace Anderson, Grand-parents Leonard B. Cloud and Annie Elizabeth (Evans) Cloud, Brother Cpl. Leonard Warren Walker, Husband Dennis Ray James.

Survivors- Daughters Celia (James) Flores, Fiancé Chris Anderson (Cottonwood, AL), Twyla (James) Webb, and Fiancé Cody McElroy (Dothan, AL), God-daughter Kelsey Delaney Bell (Prattville, AL), Grand kids Jaydon I’Zaya James, Adalyn Elizabeth James, Caralynn and Cassandra Anderson (Milan, IN), Mother Celia Cloud Walker, Sisters Connie (Blake) Harding (Chocowinity, North Carolina), Annise (Jeff) Crawford (Dothan AL). Several Nieces and Nephews. Very special adopted in family members to include Stephanie (Jason) Karpovich, Olivia Karpovich, Meghon Moreno and Daniela Maria Roque, Deanna Lynn Adkins, Joshua Riddle, Ricky Webb and many more.
