Helen Marie (Cooper) Fowler

Helen Fowler, age 62 of Dothan, passed away late Friday evening, October 16, 2020 at Flowers Hospital, following a brief illness.

Funeral services for Ms. Fowler will be held at 11am Wednesday, October 21 in the chapel at Family First Funeral Care. A gathering for family and friends will be held on Tuesday night, October 20, 2020 from 5pm until 7pm at the funeral home.

Helen was born August 23, 1958 in Dothan to the late Horace Leroy and Minnie Marie Avant Cooper. She had worked for Nypro for several years and since 2016 had worked for LaQuinta Inn & Suites of Dothan. She cherished her family and was of the Christian faith.

In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her fiancé, Brent Whitney. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Tim and Monica Cooper of Shellman, GA and Danny Cooper of Dothan; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Leroy Cooper of Florence, Glenn and Maria Cooper of Hartford, Billy and Elaine Cooper of Cowarts and Willie and Patricia Cooper of Hartford; a sister, Teresa Cooper of Dothan and two grandchildren, Alex Coward and Alexis Cooper, both of Napier Field. Helen is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
