James "Shane" Jefferson Reese

James Jefferson “Shane” Reese, age 53 of Dothan, passed away early Friday afternoon, February 19, 2021, at Flowers Hospital, following a brief illness.

Funeral services for Shane will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 in the Family First chapel with Chaplain John Gormley officiating. Burial will follow in the Gates of Heaven cemetery. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5pm until 7pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Common sense social distancing guidelines should be observed.

Shane is preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Reese Johnson, a sister, Teresa Reese, and a brother, Byron Johnson. Survivors include his five children, Jeffrey Reese, Michelle Reese, Hannah Reese, Kingslee Reese, and Shane Reese; four grandchildren; his father, Jerry Johnson; four sisters, Pamela (Darryl) Galloway, LaKeisha Johnson, Marian (James) Johnson, and Yolanda (Brandon) Johnson; four brothers, Tim (Sheron) Reese, Thomas (Regina) Johnson, Erick (Deonica) Johnson, and Bobby Joe Brewer. In addition, a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.
