Jerrod Laws

Jerrod Laws, age 46 of Cottonwood, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2020 in a local hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral services for Jerrod will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Antioch Country Church in Grangerburg with Pastor Shay Wells officiating. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening beginning at 5pm at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Antioch Country Church, 200 Antioch Church Road, Gordon, AL 36343.

Jerrod was born January 29, 1973 in Winter Haven, Florida. He had lived the past eighteen years in Cottonwood, where he had many friends and was a friend to many. Jerrod was well respected for being an all-around good man, who was willing to always help a friend or a stranger in need. He enjoyed dancing, a good trail ride and always had a joke to tell. Jerrod enjoyed horses and the Cowboy lifestyle, but nothing in life mattered more to him than his family. He is going to be missed but his memory shall live on in the hearts of all who knew him,

Survivors include his wife, Angie Laws of Cottonwood; a daughter, Makayla Laws of Cottonwood; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dalton and Nina Laws of Bartow, GA and Lane Laws of Cottonwood; his mother and step-father, Diane and Doug Ritchey of Auburndale, FL; father and step-mother, Bobby and Pat Laws of  Cottonwood; a brother and sister-in-law, Jeromy and Lisa Laws of Auburndale, FL and a sister, Tracy Feagle of Auburndale, FL. Jerrod is also survived by two grandchildren, Hayden Laws and Sawyer Laws, both of Bartow, GA as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
