Johnny Ronald Shirah

Johnny Ronald “John” Shirah, age 73 of Ashford, passed away Monday evening, January 11, 2021, at Southeast Health, following an extended illness. At the request of the family, Family First Funeral Care will provide a Simple Cremation service and a Memorial Service will be held later at a date and time to be announced. Additional information
may be obtained by visiting www.familyfirstfuneralcare.com. John was born November 29, 1947 in Port St. Joe, Florida to the late James Rudolph and Maggie Alene Player Shirah. For many years he worked at Farley Nuclear Plant, before retiring as a long-haul truck driver. Survivors include his wife, Sherri Shirah of Ashford; children,
William Shirah of Pierre Park, LA, Kasey Shirah of Ashford; stepchildren, Jessica Kelly, and Ben Kelly of Dothan, Rebecca
Gosha of Ashford, Michael Griffin of Gainesville, FL, and John Steven Griffin of Ashford; grandchildren, Mileena Walding of
Wewa, FL, and Sabrina Griffin of Dothan. John is also survived by seven step-grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Long of Tallahassee, FL, and Carol Kelley; a brother and sister-in-law, Darrel and Larita Shirah of Pansey; nieces, Katherine Kelley and Christine Allen, and Katie Barlow; and a nephew, Jason Long.
