June A. McMurphy age 57 of Dothan passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at a local hospital following an illness.

June was born June 20, 1965 in Georgia to William McMurphy and Mary Elsie Williams. She worked in Healthcare as a CNA. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening and was a member of the Dothan Botanical Gardens. Other pastimes included diamond art painting, computer games, shopping and watching Tampa Bay Tech.

She is preceded in death by her husband James “Rooster” Tice; father; son-in-law Shawn Smith; sister Susan Davis.

Survivors include her daughter Katie Mitchell Smith (Chris Wilson); step-son Thomas Mitchell; grandchildren Michaela Smith, Chaise Smith, Jordan Ducker, Corey Ducker; great granddaughter Serena Ducker; brothers Patrick McMurphy, JP St. John, Matthew McMurphy (Shanna); sisters Ellen McCracken (Johnny), Paula McMurphy, Andrea St. John; father of her daughter Thomas E. Mitchell.
