Keith Ladon Traylor

Keith Traylor, age 58 died Thursday afternoon March 14, 2019 at the home of his brother in Cottonwood after an extended illness and under the care of Covenant Hospice.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday March 18, 2019 in the Chapel of Angels at Family First Funeral & Cremation Care with Pastor Mark Richards officiating.  Burial will follow in the Madrid City Cemetery with Family First Funeral & Cremation Care directing.  Serving as active pallbearers will be Michael Askew, Timothy Duke, Dexter Gilbert, Jeff Hart, Michael Watford and Timothy Welch.  The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 P.M. until service time.

The family ask that memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society 2346 W Main St Ste 3, Dothan, Al 36301 or to Covenant Hospice 1512 W. Main Street, Dothan, Al 36301.

Mr. Traylor was born in Donalsonville, Ga., son of the late Verlon Traylor and Beulah Chumney Traylor.  He had lived in Houston County most of his life and was engaged in farming and as a heavy equipment operator.  Keith loved hunting, fishing and farming, even though he liked to complain about farming often to his family and friends.  He also enjoyed automobile racing and had a very special love for all his grandchildren.  Keith attended Friendship Baptist Church in Malone, Fl.  Other than his parents he was preceded in death by 2 sisters Merle Harris and Alice Campbell.

Survivors include his son Kevin Traylor (Candice) of Cottonwood, 2 daughters Becky Allen (Austin) and Kimberly Traylor (Gage Martin) all of Bascom, Fl., 2 brothers Greg Traylor (Steven West) of Cottonwood, John Harris (Genie) of Defuniak Springs, Fl., 5 grandchildren Drew Traylor, Kaylee Traylor, Hayden Traylor, Westley Traylor and Brynleigh Chafin, a special friend of the family Melissa Haney of Dothan and 2 close friends Ben “Boss” Floyd and Dexter Gilbert both of Malone, Fl.

Care for the Traylor family is being provided by Randy Crenshaw, Jason Shepard and the Family First staff.
