Kenneth B. Wood 

Kenneth B. Wood, a resident of Dothan passed away Wednesday September 15, 2021 at Piedmont Healthcare in Newnan, Georgia after a long term battle with cancer.  He was 51.

        Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 25, 2021 @ 11:00 a.m. at Family First Funeral Care with Pastor Tyrone Boykins officiating.  Visitation will be Friday September 24,2021 from 5-7 pm at Family First Funeral Care Chapel.

        Mr. Wood graduated from Dothan High School in 1988 and later went on to attend the University of Miami and graduated as a Mechanical Engineer.  He was employed with Allied Motion (Globe Motors) for 25 years where he met and married the love of his wife Tranda (Pittman) Wood. From their love they raised a beautiful daughter Sherekeria Pittman and his grandson, Aroyal Jackson.  He was the neighborhood Godfather.  He loved buying ice cream for all the children in his community.

        Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his father James Wood Sr.

        Kenneth's memories are left to be cherished by his beloved wife: Tranda Wood, daughter; Sherekeria Pittman and grandson Aroyal Jackson. Mother; Ms. Rachel Wood; siblings: Donald Clark of Tulsa, OK, Lloyd Wood (Kimberly) of Jacksonville, FL, James Wood (Senitha) of Headland, AL, Thomas Wood (Detanya) of Houston Texas, Dolores Barlow of Clearwater, FL, and Wanda Wood 
(Kimbley)of Dothan, AL.  Siblings in law: Tawanda (Vashon) Jackson, Tenard (Leslie) Pittman, a special nephew Kasawia Pittman.  Kenneth had a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends that loved him dearly.

        In lieu of flowers please make donations to “The Cancer Treatment Centers of America” in Newnan Georgia.  This is where Mr. Kenneth received all of his treatments.
