Marcie D. Jenkins
Marcie Jenkins, age 51 of Dothan passed away Saturday, July 29, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family and friends. A celebration of life was held July 9, 2023 for family and friends to visit with Marcie. Marcie’s wishes were to not have any other service after her passing.
Marcie was born November 20, 1971 in Dothan, Alabama. She was a member of Hodgesville Baptist Church. She enjoyed going to the beach, and being a majorette Coach. She was a Florida State Football Fan. Her main joy was her family and especially being a “Granna” to her grandbabies.
She is preceded in death by her adopted father Danny Barefoot; Mother Merita Barefoot; grandfather Eugene “Gene” Hall; niece Alani Goram.
Survivors include her husband of 33 years, Haston Jenkins; son Paxton Jenkins (Alexus); daughter Merideth Jenkins; father Johnny Wilford; grandmother Carolyn Hall; grandchildren Arizona Jenkins, Gracelynn Chumney, McKinley Jenkins, Luna Barefoot; brothers Dan Barefoot (Ashley), Shane Wilford; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as special friends Sonia Hughes and Pam Pylant.
