Mary Merline Williams French

Mary Merline Williams French (MeMe), age 90 of Webb, passed away Monday morning, May 18, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family.

A Celebration of Life service for Merline will be held Friday, May 22, 2020 in the chapel at Family First Funeral Care with Pastor Haley Enfinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Dothan City Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at noon, two hours prior to service time. Common sense social distancing will be recognized.

Born on November 17, 1929 in Houston County to the late James Zandy and Lethey Emmaline Foreman Williams, Merline graduated from Houston County High School in Columbia. She worked at Northcutt Drugs for several years before retiring from Waffle House after 27 years of faithful service. Merline was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

In addition to her parents, Merline is preceded in death by a son, Danny Lexon Reneau. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Tina Jo French Davis (Charles Randolph Davis); five grandchildren, Corey Danielle Reneau, Amber Nicole Willis, Ashley Wenston Willis, Annah Aletha Willis and Charles Aaron Davis (Sarah Davis); four great-grandchildren, Kaylee Willis, Kaden Willis, Alexander Davis and Avah Davis; three sisters, Winna Jean Williams Smart, Willo Dean Williams and Dorothy Anne Williams Peters; a brother and sister-in-law,  James Zandy and Sandra Williams. Also surviving is nieces and nephews, Debi Moore, Molly Butler, Barry Cox, Zandy Williams and Leesa Fryer.
