Mickey James

Mr. Mickey James of Cottonwood, Alabama passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 after a very brief illness. He was 68 years old.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 11 at 10:30  A.M. with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.   located at Howard’s Grove church on county road 55 in between ashford and cottonwood. All family and friends are invited to attend. 

Mickey was a graduate of the 1971 class at cottonwood high school.  He was a lifelong farmer and was employed with rocky creek farms and the late Billy Womack. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, drag racing, auburn football, and most importantly his family and friends.

Mickey was born on October 10th, 1952 of the late Grady and Florence james.  He is preceded in death by one sister, Brenda James of Albany Georgia. Survivor s include a loving wife of 49 years, drusilla james. Daughter Tanya (Joey) Gonzalez of Dothan al. Son Brian (Dede) James of cottonwood al. Two grandchildren Madison and Tucker james of ashford Alabama. One brother Jeff james of cottonwood al. Numerous nephews and nieces and in-laws.
