Peggy Sue (Adams) Chason

Peggy Sue Adams Chason, age 75 of Newton, passed away Saturday evening, August 1, 2020 at Southeast Health.

Funeral services for Mrs. Chason will be held at 2pm Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Memphis Baptist Church with Reverend Rick Glenn officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A gathering for family and friends will be held from 1pm until service time at the church. Social distancing guidelines shall be observed.

Peggy was a loving wife for over 50 years to her husband and a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

Peggy is preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Fannie Bell Folks and her beloved daughter, Kerry Lynn Chason. Survivors include her husband, Wayne Chason, Sr., of Newton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne Chason, Jr. (Kathy) and Joey Chason (Joeann); two daughters and a son-in-law, Sandra Peters and Cindy Norwalk (Tony); seven grandchildren, Crystal Wolfe (Richard), Jennifer Chason, Beth Meeks (James), Michael Norwalk (Rebecca), Tracey Peters (Joshua), Jonathon Norwalk and Hope Peters. Peggy is also survived by three great-grandchildren, Jessica Woodham, Katelynn Woodham and Kasey Meeks; as well as several nieces and nephews.
