Robert Watson Obituary

Robert Gilbert Watson, 76, of Ozark, AL passed away peacefully January 9, 2022, following a gradual decline due to Parkinsonian dementia.

Robert was born on April 6, 1945 to Ivy Watson and Ollie V. Watson in Echo, AL. He loved Alabama football, playing golf, fishing, watching Nascar. His favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt SR. He also loved playing dominoes, playing pool, dancing, and listening to gospel and classic country music.

He is survived by his spouse, Catherine C. Watson and their two children, Robert Daniel Watson and Cathy Olivia Watson (Trussell) as well as his twin sister Jan Mansfield. He was also survived by multiple cousins, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by both parents and four sisters and brother: Dorothy Watson Cook, Margaret Watson Corben, Eula Watson Barnes, Eunice Watson Evans, and Haywood Watson.

No services will be held at this time and the family requests no flowers be sent.
