Rosa Mae Walden

Rosa Walden was born in Abbeville, on October 16, 1944 to Dennis and Rebecca Johnson Taylor.  She departed this earthly life on Friday, October 16, 2020.

A homegoing service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 1pm in the chapel of Family First Funeral Care.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, October 23, 2020 from 4-6pm. 

Rosa received Christ at an early age and was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church.  She retired as a CNA after many years.  She enjoyed Bingo, knitting and helping others.  She enjoyed spending time with her friend of many years the late Mary Craddock. Rosa loved her boys James, Cliff, Rubin, Calvin and William dearly.

Rosa is preceded in death by her son James Porter; a God-son Derrick Thompson.  She leaves her precious memories to her sons, Rubin Kyles, Jr (Cefiee), Cliff Porter (LeJessica), Calvin Porter and William Porter; her brother J.B. Sipp as well as numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. 

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to Sharhonda Small for all of the help she provided during this process and to Jessica George and Donna Martin Mitchell we are truly grateful for your care and support.
