Royce Jones Obituary

Mr. Royce James Jones, age 85, of Dothan passed away April 7, 2023 at Hartford Heath and Rehab in Hartford, Alabama. A funeral sservice will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2023, 2 p.m. at Family First Funeral Care with Chaplain John Gormley officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Gardens Of Memory.

Royce was born January 5, 1938 in Dothan, Alabama to the late Victor Lee Jones and Ruth Bernice Scott Jones.

Royce was raised in Bonifay, Florida but later moved to Dothan, Alabama where he resided until his death. Royce started working at Colonial Bakery April 23, 1967 and later retired after many years of service. He enjoyed fishing, watching wrestling, and gardening.

Royce is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Revel Jones and Houston Jones.

Royce is survived by his daughter Eleanor Ruth Jones Ramer (Gerald), son James Royce Jones, grandchildren Blake Ramer, Zack Ramer, Priscilla White, Isabella Ramer, Will Jones, Haley Jones; four great-grandchildren; three sisters, Margaret Bramton of Bonifay, FL, Sybil Steverson of Bonifay, FL and Neva Kent and husband Sam of Cottondale, FL; numerous nieces and nephews.
