Rozanne Owens, age 71 of Dothan passed away Wednesday afternoon, September 11, 2019 at her residence surrounded by her family and under the care of Encompass Health.

In honoring her wishes, Mrs. Owens will be cremated and a private memorial service will be held at a later time.

Mrs. Owens was born October 6, 1947 in Bainbridge, Georgia to the late Marvin Lewis and Roselind Ragan Pope. She lived the early years in Georgia and moved to Alabama over 50 years ago and lived in Houston County for the remainder of her life. For many years she worked at Wex-Tex until the plant closed. She then worked at Ansel for a number of years before becoming a Postal Carrier  with the United States Postal Service until her retirement. Mrs. Owens enjoyed watching football (Roll Tide Roll!), fishing and watching trains. She was of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Owens was preceded in death by her husband Charlie "Chuck" Owens.  Left to honor her memory is a daughter and son-in-law, Candy and Greg Anderson; a son, Jody Brunson; two grandchildren, Kelsey Anderson and Ryan Anderson and her faithful four-legged companion, Gizmo, all of Dothan. She also had two dear friends, Lenola Miller and Deborah Hughes (who recently passed away).
