Salvatore Herbert Mattaliano
Salvatore Mattaliano age 67 of Alford, Florida passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at Southeast Health. A Military Funeral Service with honors will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023, 1:30 p.m. EST at Florida National Cemetery 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, Florida.
Salvatore was born March 26, 1956 in Bitburg, Germany to Salvatore Joseph Mattaliano and Erna Ida Brandner Mattaliano. After graduation from High School, he joined the United States Airforce. He proudly served in Desert Storm, Persian Gulf, Iraq, Afghanistan and Turkey. He was wounded while in Turkey and was awarded a purple heart. He retired as a E7, Master Sergeant. He was known as being a social, fun-loving, jokester for making people laugh and scaring his sister Barbara. He enjoyed traveling, the beach, buying and selling antiques, horror movies. He also enjoyed collecting stamps, coins, comic books and antiques.
Salvatore is preceded in death by his parents Salvatore Joseph
Mattaliano and Erna Ida Brandner Mattaliano; brother Robbie Roberts; aunt Barbara Greenleaf; Uncle Donald Greenleaf.
Survivors include his brother Michael Mattaliano; sisters Barbara
Mattaliano, Christina Mattaliano; nephews Johnny Mattaliano, Michael Mattaliano, Roy Gaylor; niece Crystal Gaylor; and many other relatives.
