Sandra Faye Baxley

Sandra Faye Baxley, age 74 of Ozark passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 at the home of her son and daughter in law surrounded by family. 

Faye Fincher Baxley was born to Early C. Fincher and Grace Wilks Fincher of Columbus, Georgia. 

Graveside services for Faye will be held at 1 pm Sunday, March 21, 2021 at Newton City Cemetery.  A gathering for family and friends will be held on Saturday afternoon, March 20, 2021 from 4pm until 6pm at Family First Funeral Care. Social distancing and the use of face masks will be observed.

 Faye was a seamstress for many years prior to her disability.  She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. 

Faye is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Baxley, her mother and father, a son John Michael Spurlock, a daughter Sandra K. Spurlock, a brother William O. Fincher and a sister Melba P. Posey.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James R. Arrington (Jenise) of Ariton; son Brock Baxley (Paula), Rehobeth; daughter Allison Holmes (Edward) of Salem; 9 grandchildren Summer Adkins (Nicholas) of Newton, Parker J. Arrington of Newton, Cody Arrignton of Ariton, Eric Gardner of Clayton, Kayla Mayorga (Leroy) of Praireville, Louisiana, Kimberly Gaines (Steven) of Phenix City, Tasha Watkins (Stephen), Smiths Station, Edward Holmes, III (Misty) of Phenix City, Tyler Baxley of Georgia; Sister Pamela A. Young, Columbus, Georgia; 17 great grandchildren; sister in law and brother in law Derrill Speller (Becky) of Newton, sister in law Kim Cartes of Florida, special niece Tammy K. Posey of Columbus, Georgia.
