Theresa Kay Chitwood Sparks
Theresa Sparks, age 59 of Dothan passed away Friday, May 26, 2023 at Southeast Health following an illness.
Mrs. Sparks was born January 6, 1964 in Hammond, Indiana to Thermond Chitwood and Shirley Thomas Chitwood. She was raised by her Mom and step-father Marshall (Tom) Pledger whom she loved dearly. Theresa loved to shop especially when she was getting a good deal by couponing or a sale. Bath and Body Works was one of her favorites. She also enjoyed gardening, collecting porcelain dolls. She was a member of a “Tupperware” group. She was the backbone of her family and enjoyed cooking a meal to bring them all together.
She is preceded in death by her parents, step-father Marshall (Tom) Pledger; brother Jerry Chitwood.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Michael Sparks, I; son Michael Sparks II; daughters Jennifer Williams, Crystal Mathis (Isaac), Ashley Beasley (Tyler Lozano); grandchildren Natalie Mathis, Aiden Sparks, Maddox Mathis, Kara Mathis, Peyton Sparks, Austin Beasley, Oaklynn Lozano, Royalty Lozano; brother Terry Chitwood; sister Sheri Chitwood; cousin Debbie Martire whom she loved like a sister.
