Tommie Lee Reynolds age 69 of Dothan, passed away early Friday morning, February 26, 2021, at the home of his sister, following an extended illness.

Funeral services for Tommie will be held at 10am Tuesday, March 2, 2021 in the Family First chapel with Reverend Willie Calloway and Pastor Howard Valentine officiating. Burial will follow in the Crestlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 9am Tuesday morning until service time. Common sense social distancing guidelines should be followed.

Tommie was born July 14, 1951 in Headland to the late L.B. and Ida Mae McCloud Reynolds. He lived in Headland for the early years of his life and moved to Dothan 40 years ago, where he lived for the remainder of his life. Tommie worked as a subcontractor building houses with Lindy Homes for his entire professional career.  He loved hunting, fishing and working on cars, but above all, he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, living a life of simplicity, and watching westerns.  Tommie was a proud, compassionate, and quiet man whose humility was often overshadowed by his tendency to be slow to speak.  He was truly loved and will be sincerely missed by all.

In addition to his parents, Tommie is preceded in death by a son, Juan Johnson; three brothers, James Reynolds, David Reynolds and Robert Reynolds, as well as a sister, Dora Smith. Tommie is survived by a son, Thomaz Johnson; a brother, L.B. Reynolds, Jr.; six sisters, Jessie Hollis, Effie Barnes, Patricia Reynolds Davis, Valerie Harris, Sherron Reynolds, and LaTonja Reynolds. Tommie is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and a host of cousins.
